Finally!!
We are the owners of a Wii. We have been patiently waiting for it to magically appear on a shelf. We have only been waiting since Thanksgiving when we played it at Uncle Bryans house. The kids loved it. So, not knowing about the demand, Shane went to find one the next day. Two hours later, he comes home empty-handed. This was fine with us. We didn't NEED it , it was just going to be fun. We were not going to wait in line in the wee hours of the mornings to get a Wii. We were going to wait until the "demand" died down. Today, a friend of ours, who knew we were looking for one, called and asked if we wanted one 'cause he was standing in front of the last two of twelve that were on the shelf. Long story short - he bought it because there were too many people there that wanted it and Shane hadn't made it to the store - which was only 2 minutes away - to purchase it. The crazy thing about all this is that there was no rushing, or yelling, or pushing or shoving to get the Wii. Just a friend who happened to be a Target this morning and found one. Since then, our house has been split. I am catching up on blogging and the other three are perfecting their bowling skills. This Christmas - Thanks to grandparents, my kids have entered the electronic age. With a Cars and Deal or No Deal electronic game (for the car) and a driving wheel that hooks up to the tv to play, and a camcorder (Brittyn) - our kids have expanded their free time activities. Which also gives mom and dad more to use in our arsenal of discipline options. Heh, Heh, Heh

Slowing down
Christmas is gone and now we can start to relax. I was very bad this year with my Christmas shopping. Normally, I have it done before Thanksgiving. This year I was shopping on Christmas Eve. I got my Christmas cards out early - but I don't know what happened after that. We do have one more family Christmas this weekend.
Next year we are going to do Christmas a little different. My kids are at the age where they can understand that Christmas is more giving than getting. I was given some advice and I plan to follow it next year... or maybe sooner. We are going to visit places that help needy people. This year, one of our family Christmas' was about helping others. We took the money that we would spend on gift-exchanges and gave it to SafeHaven Ministries. This is a place that opens their doors to victims of domestic abuse. ALL of our money ( this is important when donating to charities) goes to supplies for the families. They have a Wish List of items that we may purchase also. I want our kids to understand how blessed they really are. If you have a roof over your head, clothes on your back and food in your belly - then you are blessed!!!
Also, some exciting news!!! Shane has finally finished the Art Museum. We are so proud of him. It made the last 3 years of stress worth it when I saw the look on Brittyn and Spencers face at the ribbon cutting ceremony. They are so proud of their dad!
He also won the Presidents Award this year for Rockford Construction. This award goes to someone that is dedicated, accountable, responsible, survives the toughest project that RC has seen.... ok, so I'm bragging a bit. The reward is a trip (for two) to Cabo San Lucas in Mexico. SOOO excited!
Now, I'm going to try to download some pictures. MSN was so easy when it came to pictures.
Hope all are doing well!

Not ready for winter
Ok, Thanksgiving is gone, Christmas is around the corner and I only have one blog on here. SAD.
Since my last blog, we have had several changes in our family. Grandpa Napper is with his Saviour. The toughest part of it all was helping Brittyn and Spencer deal with the loss of their great grandpa. He was a big part of their lives - and they will miss him too.
We also traded the F-150 in for an '07 Edge. No - it doesn't have the Vista roof, but it is saving us in gas and insurance. I was sad to leave the truck 'cause I loved my truck - but it is better in the long run.
Shane also finished the Art Museum....after 3 years of sweat and tears. I'm glad to see it done also - WHEW!
We recently purchased a new mattress and bed. We have never had a headboard/footboard nor a new mattress. It is amazing what a new mattress will do. Both of us wake up ready to hit the ground and we don't have headaches.
Better wrap this up. I have to get Christmas Cards out. I'm doing it different this year. Cheaper! Some are getting e-mails and some are getting snail mail.
We have not had enough snow to stick yet and the temps are still warm(er) for this time of year. NO complaints here.

Changes
Hi Everyone,
Yes, this is the new home of the Napper Family. MSN was getting frustrating and myspace is just too much for my time.
Most of you know, I am a mom of 2 or 3 or 4 - depending on the day. Brittyn and Spencer are mine, and Austin is with us 4-5 days and Annabelle is with us one day a week. On top of preschool and 1st grade and soccer, I also own my own Tastefully Simple Business. Life is busy, but fun! Please be patient with me as I switch everything over and figure out how this site works. Hope everyone is well.
